A family passion


We are a family of hoteliers, with a passion for hospitality and gastronomy. Now in the third generation, we have been active in this sector since 1955.

Since 1992, we have been running hotels, restaurants and residences for the third and fourth age on a tenancy basis or on behalf of third parties.
Since 2006, in addition to direct management, we have also been involved in specific consultancy in the hospitality and gastronomy sector with our company “Hospitality & Gastro Services SA”.
Currently, all our activities are grouped together under our brand “Hospitality Ticino”.

Fernando Brunner, 1949

Born and raised in Ticino in a family of hoteliers, Fernando graduated from the Hotel School of Lausanne, where he met his future wife Lise.
He managed several hotels and senior residences in Ticino, and in 2006 founded "Hospitality & Gastro Services SA", which currently manages 4 hotels and 3 restaurants in Ticino.
Former president of Hotellerie Suisse Ticino and vice-president of Ticino Turismo.

Lise Brunner, 1948
Born and raised in Denmark, Lise graduated from the Hotel Management School in Lausanne. She followed her future husband Fernando to Ticino and has supported him for many years with competence and professionalism in various hotel activities. In addition, she has raised their three children with dedication.

Stefan Brunner, 1974
Stefan has a Bachelor of Science from the Hotel Management School in Lausanne and a Master of Advanced Studies in Health and Social Work Economics and Management from USI in Lugano. In addition, he obtained a diploma as Economiste d'entreprise HES in Lausanne and Gerontology at Weiterbildung Institut ZfP. He is in charge of the Ticino region for the Tertianum Group.

Maria Wolff-Brunner, 1977
Maria holds a Bachelor of Science from the Hotel Management School in Lausanne. Her professional experience began in large 5-star hotels such as Prefered & Luxury Hotels and the Sheraton Group.
For several years now, she has been part of the family business where she first managed the Hotel Geranio au Lac in Locarno-Muralto with the Ristorante DiVino, and since 2014 she has been running the Hotel City Lugano. She also works alongside her father and is in charge of sales and marketing for the group.

Giulia Brunner Borasi, 1980
After her education and several years of teaching experience, Giulia started working with her father in 2012, first with accounting tasks for the company, then gradually entering the hotel business.
She obtains a level 2 accounting certificate and the Restaurant licence. She is currently in charge of quality and housekeeping within the group.
